Gamasutra article: “Kickstarter For The Average Indie”
Since we ran two Kickstarters for our game, AURO – one of which failed, and one of which succeeded with flying colors – we feel like we have a few lessons to share with people on how to run a Kickstarter if you’re not famous and don’t have a lot of money. Thanks for this – I didn’t realize y’all had kickstarted twice; so my biggest takeaway is “There’s no shame, and success to be had, in kickstarting twice!” I now intend to kickstart my project at a high “be able to pay an artist full-time” level, and then if that fails (as I expect it will, unfortunately) I can kickstart again with a much smaller scope…
